Fashion and Unique Style Accessories
Often we see Fashion Shows, hear people commenting about fashion on the Red Carpet, and Fashion experts telling us how to create our own style, and look fashionable. Even in our own environment we notice that some people look more stylish than others. It does not mean that they are wearing expensive clothes or they have more money. The trick is to wear clothes that match your figure, temperament, life style, and remember to pick unique accessories and jewelry. Do we really know what Fashion is and how to look stylish and find your own style?
Fashion is the style and custom prevalent at a given time. The Important idea is that the course of design and fashion will change more rapidly than the culture as a whole. Cities such as Paris, Milan, New York and London are recognized as global fashion centers. Fashion week in these cities is big because designers exhibit their new collections. An important tip to remember is that just because it looks good on someone else doesn’t mean it will look good on you. Always dress according to your figure. Fashion usually remains popular for about 1-3 years and is then replaced by newer fashion. What never goes out of fashion are unique accessories such as jewelry, belts, purses or shoes that are handmade and different. Always accessorize, you will look very fashionable and stylish even when your cloths are last season’s trend.
Tips on how to look stylish:
o Get a few unique pieces of jewelry and fashion accessories; colorful scarves, good quality purses or handbags, belts or unique handmade pieces of jewelry. The accessories will make you look trendy whatever outfit you wear.
o Remember, accessories make your outfit, and if you look stylish; you feel stylish and exude confidence.
o If you go shopping, buy what you need and what is nice, but do not purchase anything just because it’s new.
o Buy clothes that would go with some of your old wardrobe- this is smart way to get new looks with your old clothes.
o Select the right hairstyle that would go with your make up and clothes to look more stylish. Select your hairstyle according your face type and hair volume.
o Before purchasing clothes, know your figure. If you feel uncomfortable with some parts of your body, do not highlight those parts.
o Select clothes, accessories and jewelry according to the occasion.

Don’t Become a Victim of Fashion Faux Pas
Have you lost the plot in your quest to stay fashionable? Sometimes sticking religiously to the current fads can make you lose touch with your own individual style and you should be proud of that, it is part of what makes you who you are. These guidelines will help you out of the fashion fallow.
Start budgeting. It is easy to follow every fad but it can be an expensive error to make. One way to find out if you are a fashion victim, is to see how much you expend on the latest fads. If the five fashion accessories you bought had a “label”, then you’re on your way to being a victim of fashion. Stop spending so much on faddish, one-off items.
Look in your wardrobe. A fashion victim is recognized by her closet. Is it crammed full of new season “gotta have it” accessories and clothes? Why did you buy these clothes – for fashion reasons or because you really liked and wanted them? Try to limit yourself to three or four fashion items each season. And it would be a good idea to really like any item that you do buy.
Keep a limit on the fashion accessories. Are you layering yourself in trendy clothing items – if so, then you could be a fashion victim. Check your reflection before you leave home – if you have on more than two ‘fad’ clothing items or accessories on, then re-think your look. Ask yourself if you look stylish, or if are you dressed simply to blend in with the crowd. The key is to not overdo it.
Designer name-dropping. A victim of fashion usually can’t help dropping into the conversation the name of the designer label they are wearing. Like “What do you think of sunglasses?” It is not a good idea to name-drop like this, it can make you seem arrogant and above all not comfortable with yourself. Just use the name of the item and stop using the designer brand name – your accessories probably look great and don’t need to be obviously dropped into the conversation by name.
Think about your individual style. It is important to okay to have a personal sense of style which victims of fashion often forget. They just follow the rest of the world like sheep. To avoid this, go back to choosing apparel that you love to wear. Don’t buy an item of clothing or accessory because it makes you feel trendy. Get it because you really love it. It is also OK to match pieces in unusual ways that you may not have seen anyone else wear. This is great and it is the start of your own individual style, which will help you avoid being a victim of fashion.

4 Elements of the Fashionable Man
Look for these four elements in the men’s fashion and you will turn heads when you enter a room, lift eyebrows in the interview process and land in the winner circle both personally and professionally.
1. Fresh and Fit
Men’s fashions have changed considerably over the years. While jeans and khakis are a staple, the blue suit is a necessity and a few crisp white shirts the backbone of a fashionable man. You can update your wardrobe with a fine merino wool black turtleneck; a sharp detailed designer belt and new shoes. Attention to a few small details can lead a man of any age to a fresh new fashionable look. Purchase your trousers just a little loose at the waist; please do not try to buy the smallest size you can fit into. Do up your belt just a little looser, so that your trousers sit a little lower on the hip.
2. Fit and Fresh
A fit man looks far more fashionable then one who does not take care of himself. He exudes an aura of confidence and nonchalance, this man can get away with more fashion eccentricities in men’s fashions then the man who is carrying an extra 25lbs or more. Fragrance can also be a clear men’s fashion statement. The way that you smell can be dated pretty quickly. Fragrances go off, if you have had yours for more than a year. Dump it and buy new. Not in the budget this week? Go to the men’s fragrance counter, chat up the guy or girl behind the counter and take home a few samples. Do this until you find the sent that is best for you and you have the budget to purchase or put it on your birthday/holiday list.
3. The Right locks.
Men’s fashion hairstyle is another important element of personal style. Look through Hollywood movie star rags or websites and find a look that might work for your face, age and amount of hair remaining. Remember, bald is sexy; thinning long combed over hair is not! Try out one of the online programs that show men’s fshion hairstyles and put in your picture to try out different styles and colours. Better yet, find a great barber or hairdresser and listen to his advice about hair length, colour and style that will best suit you and your career.
4. The Hand Shake
The very fashionable man has manicured nails (both hands and feet), and with the latest in facial grooming a clean-shaven or well kept beard. If you are going for the 5o’clock shadow, everything else must be impeccable, clean white shirt, untucked, designer jeans, the right length jacket, Italian leather shoes and a simple silver thumb ring. Men’s fashion dictates that nails be short, clean and well cared for. Get a nail file and a buff, or if you can’t get yourself to a manicurist take a look at websites that will give you direction and photos of how they should look.

Fashion Crazes – Keep Feeling Fascination
Fashion crazes although usually somewhat short lived have fascinated and tantalized every society throughout the ages. Even the most primitive of societies find themselves enthralled with fashion statements. From the head of a tribe who wears fancy head dresses to the teenage girl wearing Uggs boots in 90 degree weather, fashion forward people have been the focus of lesser fashion mavens for as long as we have worn clothing, accessories or body jewelry. For fashion is not just clothing it is a whole attitude. Sure there have been major faux pas’s over the centuries think mullets and layered hair, but society always remains a slave to the latest thing.
Probably the most effective fashion craze that really stirred things up was the punk rock persona of the late 70′s early 80′s led by the English rock groups like the Sex Pistols. Multi-colored Mohawks, leather and chains became the bane of anyone over 40 and the envy of everyone else. One thing was for certain punk rock style was not easy to ignore. Fashion crazes are all about making a statement. The fashion conscious are looking to be seen and to express a certain attitude about their personalities. It is an identity really.
The fashion trends that have currently given rise are the tattoo and piercing communities. If you walk around anywhere in Southern California or any major city you could throw a pebble and hit someone with a tattoo or piercing. The prevalence of that fashion craze is probably the most prolific of any fashion trend ever. People pierce and tattoo every part of their body. You can find people without a square inch of flesh color. Even faces are tattooed! Some people even have clothes tattooed on them. And, the piercings are just as prevalent and they have their own statement.
It is well known that fashion crazes will undoubtedly continue to tantalize and provoke people forever. The fascination factor alone will keep those who like to be provocative forever fashion forward. It is also exciting to wonder what the next craze might entail. Unlike other crazes fashion is fun, not dangerous and most importantly has the ability to be undone! The next craze could be tattoo removal! Being fashion forward is not for everyone but observing it certainly is and like those freaked out parents of the punkers of the 70′s all of us will look on with reverence and a certain jealous reverence.

Men’s Fashion and Designer Clothing Ideas for Fall-Winter 2010
As the Fall/Winter 2010 season approaches, along with it comes a lot of new and exciting trends and fashions. It can be quite confusing to know which designer clothing brands work best with others, and which styles are going to be the more popular ones. While wearing famous designer clothing brands is not essential in order to be fashionable, it can really help especially if you are not sure which particular fashions work for you or if you are looking to emulate a celebrity’s style.
For those that do not know, designer clothing styles are released twice a year in time for the upcoming season. In January or February, the Spring / Summer collections are released. In August or September, it is time for the Fall / Winter collections. Each season has its own overriding individual styles that run year-to-year. For example, Spring / Summer clothing will likely be of light or bright colours, whereas Fall / Winter collections will usually bit a lot thicker than the Spring / Summer clothes to keep the wearer warm on the cold winter days.
Each season has its own set of traits and trends that run throughout all brands and is based upon how people and celebrities have been wearing the clothes in previous seasons. A popular misconception that its detractors spread about the fashion world is that fashion imposes rules and laws on what people that follow fashion have to do. This is a nonsensical statement as ‘fashion’ is simply the manifestation of popular trends as worn by people. Contrary to what the naysayers say, fashion is created by people, it is not the people’s captor.
For the upcoming Fall / Winter 2010 season, there are already some trends that will be making appearances. Designer denim, such as Edwin jeans, Pepe and Prps will be very popular. If you’re new to fashion, denim is always a safe bet. Try to get jeans that are ‘raw’, this means that there is no wash, abrasions or stresses on the jean. It is just the basic cut and stitching and nothing more. The great thing about raw jeans is that they look incredible when you first get them, and then over time the colours gradually fade as the jeans get worn out. This is really good, as jeans wear out according to how they are worn – they are a record of all the time that you have spent with them, telling your story back to you whenever you look at them. However, it is really important that you do not wash raw denim – certainly at least not for six to nine months after you get them. If they get dirty or smelly, try to dab stains away with damp cloth and try to neutralise odors with a product such as Febreeze.
Other fashions for the new season include a special tribute to the street fashion of 1980s Great Britain. This particular style of fashion is often referred to as British Terrace-Wear, a homage to how the houses in inner-cities and strong working-class areas were constructed. If you like the sounds of this, you would do well to check out designer clothing brands such as Gabicci Vintage, Farah Vintage and Fred Perry. A good combination would be a pair of Fred Perry plimsoll sneakers, a pair of Farah Vintage bottoms and a Gabicci Vintage Polo Shirt. For the sportier gentleman, you might want to mix this up with trainers and tracksuit bottoms from the likes of Fila Gold or Adidas Originals.
More contemporary men would probably prefer something less confrontational. In this case, they might like to grab a pair of raw Edwin ED-45s (Levi’s 501s would also work a treat), throw on a white Diesel or Junk de Luxe T-Shirt and finish off with a black or navy blue cardigan from a designer such as Full Circle or Vivienne Westwood. If you are venturing outside into the cold, you might like to max your look out with a navy or black denim jacket from Wrangler, Levi’s or Lee.
Whatever styles you go for in Fall / Winter 2010, it’s important that you feel comfortable and confident. Experiment with different clothing combinations to get a look that makes you look and feel great. Do not follow fashion trends if they make you feel uncomfortable. If you are in any doubt or are unsure about what you think would work best for you, contact your local designer clothing boutique for more advice, it’s what they are there for.

Are the Fashion Police After You?
There are lots of different things that you should keep in mind when it comes to fashion. Sometimes, it is important to think about the way that you look and the way that others see you. It is important to look and feel your best so that you can continue to be successful at your life. In order to avoid being called in by the fashion police, there are a few tips that you can follow, and a few coupons that you can use to allow you to get great fashion at a fraction of the cost.
First of all, a good way to think about staying in fashion is just to pay attention to what people are wearing around you. Looking at the ads and finding coupons for great deals isn’t going to help you unless you know what you want to look like. Look at the people who are around you each day and see what they are wearing, and the people you think look the best should have a great example of the fashion that you want to aspire to.
It doesn’t take much to be in fashion. Something that you want to remember is a lot about fashion is simply being comfortable with who you are and being in clothing that is comfortable as well. You can do this easily, and you can allow yourself to have the pleasure of looking great while you do. It shouldn’t be something that is hard, and with the right coupons, it doesn’t need to be something that is expensive, either.
If you know the type of style you are looking for, then look through your wardrobe and see which things match that type of style, and which things are on the outs. If you find something that you know you never wear and is outdated, then replace that item with something that is newer and more in style. A good way to be sure that the fashion police aren’t going to be knocking down your door is to get a general idea of the things that you look the best in, and then make sure that those things are found in your closet.
Buying great fashion shouldn’t have to be that expensive either. The fashion police aren’t going to be about making sure that you have the most expensive styles – they’ll just want to know that you look like you are in style. Finding great coupons allows you to buy great looking clothes from stores that you’d shop at normally, which means that you can get a great deal on something that you already know you love. With the right coupons in hand, you can avoid those fashion police and make absolutely sure that you look your best at all times. It isn’t hard to make sure that you are in fashion, and if you need to, you can keep adding to your wardrobe as time goes on. Using coupons is a great way to allow yourself to be in style.

How to Stay Ahead in Fashion
If you want to be ahead of the game and find out what’s hot in the world of fashion you have two choices. One – you get a job as a fashion editor for a hugely glamorous magazine or two – you visit a website that tells you what’s new out in the world of fashion! One of these is very tricky and there’s a long waiting list of people ahead of you – and the second option is easy. All the Clothes has just launched it’s fashion news section. This will keep you up to date with all the new items from loads of great shops. They scour the what’s new lists, visit the top fashion sites they know you love and bring you everything you need to be wearing cutting edge fashion.
Even visiting the cat walk shows doesn’t guarantee you being able to buy what’s being shown. Many companies take their leads from the big fashion shows at Paris and London and design their new ranges round the themes and colours of the cat walk fashion.
Fashion seems to constantly change. What’s trendy one week can be old hat the next! Some fashion seems more prone to fading quickly – anything that’s really unusual will be more likely to be out of favour. Plainer clothes are likely to be wearable longer, but sometimes new cutting edge styles stay and change a little with the times. When items are flexible to change, can be made from different fabrics, and even worn by different age groups then an item will be long lasting.
For some sections of fashion – like underwear, new technologies really help widen the range available. Machine embroidery means bras can be prettier than ever before. For some clothing a return to hand embroidery has been important and has bought about some really pretty changes to the high street fashion.
