The Velour Tracksuit Trend
Trends come and go quickly in modern fashion but there are a select few trends that stay around long enough to become fashion staples. In the past half century the best example would be the denim jean. The newest trend which is proving that it has staying power is the velour tracksuit.
Unlike other trends, shops continue to stock velour tracksuits season to season. It has enjoyed seasons of popularity in the past however this time they have been around for a couple of years already. This is an age in the fashion world.
Velour tracksuits came to public view through celebrities at first. First it was Britney and her bridesmaids in embroidered baby pink velour tracksuits. Then footballer’s wives took on the trend during international competitions.
Now of course they are a popular outfit on any high street. People like them so much because they are comfortable and stylish. But you should only wear a good quality velour tracksuit. When it is washed it should keep its shape. Also; you do not want the colour to fade during washing. The Tracksuit will be more trashy than trendy if the quality is bad.
Dark colours work best on tracksuits for adults as colours can look like you are trying to look younger than you are. Avoid any pinks, greens and light blues. Navy, dark grey, brown and black are flattering.
Children however look gorgeous in brightly coloured velour tracksuits. Clothes which are comfy, practical and fashionable are hard to find for young girls. When all of these features are combined your daughter will be happy. Children like wearing them because they are so easy to pull on and get off before and after swimming and other popular activities.
Loo at different retailers for the right velour tracksuit for you. You will find some are better quality than others are. If they specialise in velour clothing you are on to a winner. The tracksuits should be reasonably priced, do not pay over £60 for a tracksuit otherwise you are paying for the trend and not the clothing. Likewise, do not spend too little otherwise the clothing will fall apart after just a few washes.
