They are designed and made the same way as any other pair of glasses, also they come with UV protection, anti-reflect treatment and scratch resistant coating, all the same features as more expensive prescription glasses. The only real difference here is the price.

We’ve all seen the wacky things that people have made into USB sticks. Whether it’s an actual twig that can store 2GB of memory, or whether it’s a fake piece of wire to deter thieves. There are hundreds of strange designs out there and now the list of wacky USB devices now has a new addition.

The new addition is a pair of sunglasses, Calvin Klein sunglasses to be precise. You might be think, how did they manage to fit a 4GB USB stick into a pair of designer sunglasses and still make them look good. Well, it’s pretty cool the way they have implemented it, although it doesn’t make alot of sense why, the idea is cool. They have added the USB stick into the end of the right arm. You simply pull the end of the arm off, plus it into the USB slot on your PC, Mac, laptop or netbook and then you will gain an extra 4GB of storage.

Although it does seem a little strange to include a USB stick into some glasses, it does give Kalvin Klein a unique selling point over a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Although, once you start thinking of the advantages, if you were on a beach for example and require some extra storage space for your laptop, all you would need to do is pull apart your sunglasses and then you can store up to 4GB.

Of course the biggest and most obvious downside to these glasses is that once you start using the USB storage, you can’t wear them at the same time, unless you are able to use the one arm and balance them on your head. Also, the connection to hold the arm together would have to be strong as otherwise it could come apart as you take the glasses off. Also, I’m not sure if the USB is waterproof because if you’re using them on the beach, you don’t want to loose all your data if you get splashed, you certainly wouldn’t have that problem with Police sunglasses.

I guess they have their advantages and disadvanatges, and if you really can’t be bothered to carry around a tiny memory stick, then this is perfect for you. However, they will cost you a fair bit. $199 is how much they will be retailing for, however, I assume that main part of that is for the sunglasses and not for the 4GB storage which would normally cost you about $20.

Currently, with designer fastion and global warming all around us, a pair of sunglasses is a must have for both. A good pair of sunglasses will finish off your outfit and sometimes cover up the damage that last night did to your eyes. As for the global warming side of matters, as the Earths temperature is getting hotter, your eyes are constantly in need of protection from damaging UV rays.

So now that I have justified the reasons for buying sunglasses, you now have the difficult decision of which ones to buy. Now that’s the difficult part.

Just like when choosing normal glasses, the decision made all starts with the shape of your face. The majority of people sit in 1 of 2 face shapes, either a round face, or oval face. A round face is where the width and height of the face are almost the same, and generally a round faced person knows that they have a round face. As for oval shape faces, this is where the your face is longer than is it wider.

Once you have decided on the shape of your face, you can decide on the shape of your sunglasses. If you have a more rounded face then a square or rectangle frame would be the best option. Unfortunately, if you have a rounded face, you are limited slightly because some companies don’t design square or rectangle sunglases.

If you think you have more of an oval shaped face, then you are not limited at all, you can wear pretty much anything you want. You are not limited to just square ones, you would be able to get away with wearing big curved glasses, or even small square glasses because anything will suite your face shape.Police sunglasses or possibly a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, you should be able to pull it off.

There are a couple of other face shapes that you may fit into if you don’t see yourself as an oval or a circle. If you have more of a heart shaped face then you would be best suited to some thin rimmed aviation style glasses. Finally, if you have a more square shaped face, then you don’t want to add more angles so a pair of curved sunglasses would be best.

Hopefully you’ll use these tips when it comes to buying some new sunglasses. Just something to remember though, although you might have payed a high price for these glasses, they might not give your eyes enough protection. Make sure they have a sticker on them saying how well they really do protect you and look to see whether they are CR39 lenses which complies by the European guidelines.
